In February, we will begin hosting free workshops at various locations on different methods/designs of raised bed construction. The why and how of this project is outlined below:
Why will we host workshops on raised bed construction?
- To train our neighbors to construct their own raised beds for gardening
- To give aspiring gardeners the confidence to build their own garden infrastructure
- To expand BCP’s garden network
- To increase access to quality food in Baltimore
How will we implement this project?
- By collaborating with community centers, recreational centers, and community associations
- By demonstrating the proper use of various hand tools and power tools
- By providing community members with opportunities to develop hands-on experience in raised bed construction
